Senior Research Application Associate

Position

The successful candidate will provide timely, high quality support for BioMedCom projects, both independently and working within a team. Internal training will be provided for BioMedCom procedures, logistics and the specialty areas in which we work. A strong analytical background and attention to detail are essential. Professional maturity is required to effectively handle the workload and the material. This is an entry-level position. With experience, successful completion of projects, and demonstrated understanding of BioMedCom operations and mission, this position will lead to project management.

Requirements

• Doctoral level degree in a core biomedical discipline (PhD or equivalent)
• Post-doctoral research experience in relevant environment
• Proficient at scientific & biomedical communication
• Skill in data extraction and critical analysis
• Able to be productive under tight deadlines
• Fluent knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel & Power Point
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Good interpersonal skills

Assets

• Experience in biostatistics, epidemiology, health outcomes or health economics research
• Bilingual (English/French)
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations/reimbursement environment

Responsibilities include

• Searching the biomedical literature, healthcare databases and other resources
• Critical review, synthesis and analysis of data and other information
• Conceptualizing and developing products to address client needs
• Working to BioMedCom standard operating procedures (SOPs)
