Senior Research Application Associate
Position
The successful candidate will provide timely, high quality support for BioMedCom projects, both independently and working within a team. Internal training will be provided for BioMedCom procedures, logistics and the specialty areas in which we work. A strong analytical background and attention to detail are essential. Professional maturity is required to effectively handle the workload and the material. This is an entry-level position. With experience, successful completion of projects, and demonstrated understanding of BioMedCom operations and mission, this position will lead to project management.
Requirements
- Doctoral level degree in a core biomedical discipline (PhD or equivalent)
- Post-doctoral research experience in relevant environment
- Proficient at scientific & biomedical communication
- Skill in data extraction and critical analysis
- Able to be productive under tight deadlines
- Fluent knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel & Power Point
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Good interpersonal skills
Assets
- Experience in biostatistics, epidemiology, health outcomes or health economics research
- Bilingual (English/French)
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations/reimbursement environment
Responsibilities include
- Searching the biomedical literature, healthcare databases and other resources
- Critical review, synthesis and analysis of data and other information
- Conceptualizing and developing products to address client needs
- Working to BioMedCom standard operating procedures (SOPs)
